Review consensus

No dedicated on-court performance reviews of the reissued Jabbar have been published; the modern version is positioned as a heritage lifestyle shoe. Guides describe basic cupsole cushioning with a low, firm ride that keeps good court feel, and a slim fit that runs true to size but can feel narrow in the forefoot.

About the shoe

The Adidas Jabbar is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s signature shoe. Adidas introduced it in 1978, seven years after he became the first basketball player to sign with the brand, and it is credited as the first basketball shoe to show an athlete’s face. After earlier reissues, including the “Blueprint” Jabbar Hi and “Lakers” Jabbar Lo in 2014, Adidas brought it back in October 2024 with a smooth leather upper, suede toe cap, and soft leather collar and lining, plus Kareem’s signature and skyhook image on the branding. The reissue retailed at $100 for the Lo and $110 for the Hi.
