Review Consensus
There are no full independent performance reviews yet. The Pivot 1.0 is built to prevent ankle injuries through balance and lockdown rather than by immobilizing the ankle. Spencer Jones credits it with lasting through three months of play without problems and helping him return quickly from a foot injury, and early testers say it plays lighter than it looks.
Release Date: December 2023
The Pivot 1.0 is the first basketball shoe from Brooklyn-based Andiem, a start-up founded by Ezra Smyser and Alex Morel to address ankle injuries. As the brand’s debut model, it has no predecessor; it pairs the Flex Lock System of dual straps, dual heel counters and a deep heel cup with ReAxon Quick Balance, which aims to prevent ankle inversion by improving balance rather than restricting motion. Denver Nuggets forward Spencer Jones has worn it in NBA games since the 2025-26 season. It retails for $250 on Andiem’s website.
