Review consensus

Reviewers singled out the traction as the BD Doom's strongest feature and liked the low-riding Bounse cushioning for its comfort and court feel, though one noted it wore down over time. Opinions on ankle support were split, and breathability and heel-to-toe transition drew the main complaints, with Eastbay grading the shoe a B+.

About the shoe

The BD Doom is Baron Davis’s first signature shoe with Li-Ning. As the first model in the line, it has no predecessor. Designer Eric Miller aimed for a simple, clean shoe with a leather or synthetic upper, depending on the colourway, plus a split heel and Li-Ning’s Bounse cushioning in the heel and forefoot. It was unveiled when Li-Ning opened its Portland showroom in February 2010, retailing for $99.99, and reached select Champs Sports stores and the Champs and Eastbay websites on August 13, 2010.
