Review consensus

The Kobe 3 Low Protro keeps the high-top's Cushlon 3.0 and Zoom Strobel setup, which reviewers rate as one of the best cushion setups available. Traction on translucent rubber outsoles is inconsistent on dusty courts, and the lower collar reduces heel and lateral containment, so the high-top is the stronger on-court option.

About the shoe

The Kobe 3 Low Protro is the first low-top version of Kobe Bryant’s third signature shoe, which originally released as a mid in 2007. Along with the lower collar, it pairs a Cushlon 3.0 midsole with a full-length Air Zoom Strobel unit and uses a retooled traction pattern that Nike says reduces weight. The latticed upper, leather toe cap and carbon fiber midfoot shank carry over from the Kobe 3 Protro. The model debuted in the $230 “Warning Label” colourway at 2026 All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, and general releases retail for $190.
