About the shoe
The Nike Kyrie 8 was planned as the eighth numbered model in Kyrie Irving’s Nike signature line and the follow-up to the Kyrie Infinity, a shoe Irving publicly criticised. The 2022 design is almost entirely new. It pairs a low-to-mid-cut layered mesh upper with a React foam midsole, an Air Zoom Strobel and a new traction pattern, and adds tributes to Irving’s family on the midsole and heels. It was scheduled to launch in the US on November 11, 2022 with a listed price of $140, but Nike cancelled the launch when it suspended its relationship with Irving that month.
