The NXXT Gen AMPD is a well-rounded performance shoe with a premium feel. It shares a lot of features with the LeBron 21 but at a slightly lower price point, with an identical traction pattern and cushioning to the original NXXT Gen (and that's a good thing). The mid-cut profile and Sphere foam padding also make it strong contender for ankle support, with a true-to-size fit once it's broken in.

This extension of the LeBron NXXT Gen line debuted in the vibrant Multi-Color colorway, with a breathable mesh, textile, and leather upper in eye-catching mismatched color blocks. More subdued versions of the sneaker followed in early 2024, including the classic white First Game and classy blue Armory Navy. All colorways feature the same Zoom Air technology and durable rubber outsole that give it high marks for comfort and performance. Its main upgrade is to the materials, with more leather on the upper that gives it more secure whole-foot containment.
