Review Consensus
Reviewers praise the NXXT Genisus for its support and containment, which come from a rigid upper, a stiff heel counter and a carbon plate. They say the cushioning is a step back from the NXXT Gen because it drops the heel Zoom unit. They also note a restrictive heel and a short break-in period, and the general view is that the shoe is better value at sale prices than at full retail.
Release Date: February 2025
The LeBron NXXT Genisus is the follow-up to the LeBron NXXT Gen in Nike’s LeBron James NXXT line, and it debuted in February 2025. It keeps the double-Swoosh design but simplifies the upper, which is textile mesh with synthetic overlays. The biggest change is to the cushioning: the heel Zoom unit is gone, leaving a forefoot Zoom unit in a dense foam midsole. Retail is $150, which is $20 less than the NXXT Gen, although some special editions sold for $170.
