Review consensus

Reviewers call the Precision 8 one of the best value options in basketball, with reliable traction and better stability than its price suggests. The cushioning is basic and firm at first, with most of the impact protection in the heel, and the Low performs almost the same as the Mid, just with more ankle mobility.

About the shoe

The Precision 8 Low is the low-top version of the Precision 8, Nike’s entry-level team basketball shoe, which first launched as a mid in 2025. The Low uses the same herringbone traction pattern, foam midsole and materials as the Mid, but with a lower collar that frees up the ankle and makes the shoe slightly lighter. The upper pairs breathable mesh with no-sew overlays and a molded Swoosh, plus a padded foam collar and tongue. It retails for $75, $5 less than the Mid’s $80 price.
