Ultra-grippy traction and firm ankle support make this an ideal shoe for players who rely on fast footwork, though it will need frequent wiping on dusty courts and the thin groves can wear quickly on outdoor courts.

About the shoe

The second signature sneaker from LaMelo Ball, the Puma MB.02 dropped in October 2022. His first shoe, the MB.01, was popular for its flashy design, and the MB.02 has kept to that pattern with a tattoo-inspired traction pattern and colorways like the neon-green Slime and multi-colored Rick & Morty and Leopard. Performance-wise, it has a similarly reliable traction pattern with denser cushioning that improves its overall stability and impact protection, all available at a reasonable price point.
