Review consensus

Reviewers say the Engine A 26's cushioning feels responsive, with noticeable energy return on quick bursts and in transition. The TPU stabilizer plate and reinforced heel give confidence on landings and hard cuts. However, the heel sits slightly high and feels bulky at first, and the shoe needs a break-in period.

About the shoe

The Engine A 26 follows the original Engine A, Reebok’s first performance basketball shoe in more than a decade, and is worn by Team RBK.B athletes including Matas Buzelis and Nate Ament. The cushioning is now Reebok’s ERS+ System, which pairs dual-density foam with an updated, visible SuperFloat drop-in pod in the forefoot. A breathable engineered mesh upper adds targeted support for lateral movement, and the outsole gets an updated herringbone traction pattern. It launched on Reebok.com at $120 to $130 depending on the colorway.
