The Player 1 Plus is Serious Player Only’s updated version of its original Player 1, worn by players including Riley Minix, Lester Quinones and Jonathan Mogbo. The update replaces the original’s soft rubber outsole with thicker, more durable rubber in a radial herringbone pattern, reshapes the last for a more accommodating fit, and reinforces the mesh upper and eyelets. It comes with two drop-in midsoles, the triple-density “Strong” and the lower-profile “Quick,” on top of a carbon fiber shank plate and TPU heel cage. It released in 2023 at a retail price of $180.
