Nike PG

Paul George had been in the NBA for six seasons before he released his first signature shoe, the Nike PG1 was released in 2016 and soon became one of the most popular sneakers in the NBA. The line’s popularity really soared with the release of the PG4 in early 2020, which launched him to #3 in the NBA Sneaker King Power Rankings and is worn by players like Miles Bridges, Theo Maledon, and many more. Paul George has been a sneakerhead since high school when he fell in love with the iconic Nike Air Force Ones, so it was a dream come true to design his own shoe line with the brand and add personal touches like his daughter’s birthday or the stripe representing the titanium rod put in his right leg after a devastating injury in 2014.

George is one of the best 2-way players in the game, and his PG line is built for his style of play. The PG1 used a lightweight, low-cut design with Zoom Air cushioning and mid-foot straps. The PG2 used a more typical design, though the mid-foot strap was brought back for the popular PG2.5, a hybrid of the PG1 and PG2 released in 2018. The ever-popular PG4 is incredibly responsive, with a full-length Nike Air footbed and a full bootie construction with internal webbing and a dual-mesh overlay for maximum breathability. George currently plays in the PG5, which uses a similar mesh construction to the PG4, with added aesthetic details like the exposed toe stitching and orange heel swoosh.
