About the shoe
The adidas T-Mac 2 is the second signature shoe of Tracy McGrady, released in 2003 as the follow-up to the T-Mac 1 and tied to his 2002-03 season, when he led the NBA in scoring. Compared with its predecessor, it has a cleaner upper, a better integrated midsole and a lower, more streamlined profile. The shoe pairs a Torsion System through the midfoot with adiPRENE+ cushioning in the forefoot. adidas later brought it back as the T-Mac 2 Restomod, which replaced the adiPRENE+ with Bounce and retailed for $130.
