Originally called the New Air Jordan (before the Jordan brand began to use its well-known numbering system), this shoe was released in 1986 with an encapsulated Nike air bubble designed to increase comfort. The shoe was also known for the fact that it was made in Italy and had a high end feel compared to other sneakers of the era. The shoe was retroed in 1994, 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2014, and is currently available for purchase.
