Review consensus

Early coverage describes the Sonic 13 as a guard shoe for quick, agile players. Its full-length Boom midsole gives fast, responsive feedback, and its hard-wearing rubber works both indoors and outdoors.

About the shoe

The Sonic 13 is the latest model in Li-Ning’s Sonic line, the brand’s long-running team shoe series, and has been worn on court by Kevin Porter Jr. Its biggest change from the Sonic 12 is in the midsole: the Sonic 12’s forefoot spade-shaped TPU plate is replaced by a full-length Boom foam core wrapped in Cloud Plus foam. It also uses an HC LOC honeycomb structure to reduce weight and moves the center of gravity, with a 6mm increase in forefoot curl for a rolling feel during sprints. The mesh upper with Cool-Shell carries over from the previous model.
