Arguably the best signature shoe from Kawhi Leonard to date, with a grippy bladed traction pattern, responsive FuelCell cushioning, and excellent propulsion from the Energy Arc torsion plate. Overall, it's a nimble shoe ideal for quick, smaller players, though some more powerful players may find the containment lacking.

Kawhi Leonard had been seen sporting the newly designed KAWHI IV throughout the second half of the NBA’s 2023-24 regular season and introduced it to the public during his first round series against the Dallas Mavericks.

The sneaker was designed to enhance Leonard’s versatile two-way game, featuring Energy Arc technology, which “merged sport-specific carbon fiber plate geometry with strategic midsole voids.” This technology worked in conjunction with FuelCell cushioning to boost energy return, while the upper sported a lightweight mesh with synthetic overlays.

The initial launch included two colorways: the pink “Transcend Reality,” reminiscent of vintage video game graphics, and the white and red “Transcend the Game,” inspired by Leonard’s classic style of play. Both pairs were released through New Balance and select retailers on April 25, with a starting price of $160 USD.
