About the shoe
The P400 can be seen as a replacement for New Balance’s popular Fresh Foam BB line, and shares a lot of the same strengths. On the performance side, it features dual cushioning and a lightweight midsole plate that makes it a responsive yet supportive sneaker. From a style standpoint, it has a retro aesthetic with a mid-cut profile, molded synthetic upper, and off-centered perforated mesh tongue. A collaboration with Japanese designer Junya Watanabe Man gives the P400 an extra boost in the fashion cred department. It released in three color combinations (Black, Black/Red, and Black/Inkwell) and retails for $130.
