About the shoe
The Air Max Taurasi was Diana Taurasi’s first Nike signature shoe. It released in 2005, during her second WNBA season, at a retail price of $95. As the first model in the line it had no predecessor, and it debuted in a UConn colorway with a white leather upper, navy mudguard and red Swoosh. Early promotional renderings showed a full-length Air Max unit, but the retail version used a heel Air unit, and signature details included a “DT3” logo on the collar and “Taurasi” on the toe.
