About the shoe
The Starbury III is the third signature basketball shoe in Stephon Marbury’s Starbury line, which was sold only through the retailer Steve & Barry’s. It followed the Starbury One from 2006 and the Starbury II from April 2007, and one retrospective account places its release in 2008. The line was built around low prices, with the Starbury One retailing for $14.98, but available sources do not confirm a retail price or describe design changes for the third model. It was discontinued with the rest of the line after Steve & Barry’s went bankrupt and closed.
