AJ Johnson took an unusual route to the NBA, decommitting from Texas to join the NBL’s Illawarra Hawks through the Next Stars program. The Milwaukee Bucks drafted him 23rd overall in 2024, and stops in Washington, Dallas and Memphis followed before a September 2026 trade to New Orleans. On court, Johnson has worn the adidas adizero Select 2.0 and 3.0 and the Dame 8 ‘Sakura’. No adidas endorsement deal has been reported.
