John Wall has now had two messy breakups with Adidas. After the first one, in 2017, Wall was without a shoe deal for more than a season, primarily wearing the Nike PG1 on court in the meantime. But in early 2018, he finally resigned with Adidas for a lucrative 5 year deal, setting himself up to potentially continue his J Wall signature shoe with the Three Stripes, though this opportunity was quickly scuttled after Wall repeatedly injured his Achilles.
Then, after an ugly and extended buyout discussion in 2019, John Wall found himself once again without a deal. Now with the Clippers, Wall appears to be leaning on his Kobe collection, most recently sporting the Kobe 5 Protros and Kobe 6 Protros.
