Marcin Gortat may be most remembered in the shoe world for his odd standoff with sponsor Reebok in 2009. The shoe company, who was providing free sneakers to him at the time, demanded that he cover his Jumpman leg tattoo or risk severing ties with the shoe brand. Needless to say, he displayed his tattoo loud and proud. Gortat went on to wear Nike before retiring in 2020.
