Ja Morant is an American guard on the Memphis Grizzlies, who was drafted 2nd overall in 2019 out of mid-major school Murray State (where he was frequently spotted wearing the KD 11 “Murray State” shoes).
His signature shoe, the Nike Ja, made a huge splash ever since it was first teased in a Nike IG post. But despite the shoe’s massive success on the market, Morant’s off-court troubles led Nike to rethink its strategy with its newest signature athlete.
After more than a year to let the dust settle (and for Morant himself to prove he could behave), Nike went ahead and released the Ja 2.
Before his signature years, Ja was spotted in the Nike Adapt BBs and Kyrie 5s, debuted the highly anticipated Kyrie 6s, and headlined the futuristic Adapt BB 2.0 shoes during the Orlando Bubble.
