Review Consensus

The Harden Vol. 8 brings back the best features of the Vol. 7, including its true-to-size fit and strong containment and support. It also brings back the full-length Boost slab found on previous Harden signature shoes, and adds a new traction pattern that grips the court well for quick stops and direction changes.

Release date: February 23, 2024

James Harden debuted his eighth official signature sneaker in a November 2023 game. It released to the public in the black and orange “Sculpt” edition, with five additional colorways following in the first half of 2024. The unique teardrop cutout design features EVA foam side panels over a textile booty, with an external TPU heel counter and leather panel over the toe box that give the shoe a premium feel. From a performance standpoint, many are calling the Vol. 8 Harden’s best signature shoe to date. The 3-pattern traction is a highlight of the design, with radial pods in the forefoot and a herringbone perimeter that combine for excellent multi-directional grip. It also features a full-length JETBOOST that is firmer than the Vol. 7’s cushioning out of the box but becomes more comfortable as the shoe is broken in.
