The 2019 17th overall pick out of Virgina Tech, Canadian Nickeil Alexander-Walker has followed his superstar cousin Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s successful footsteps to the NBA. On the court, Alexander-Walker used to almost exclusively wear Kobe sneakers. But when his cousin’s Converse SHAI 001 signature kicks were released, Nickeil had no choice. He not only camped out for 12 hours just to be among the first to purchase the shoes, but he also now wears them on a day-to-day basis in the NBA after signing an endorsement deal with Converse. Hey SGA, couldn’t you have just given him a pair?
