With biting traction, balanced cushioning, and excellent containment and durability from the synthetic leather upper, the Dame 9 checks all the boxes for a high-performance sneaker. While the integrated torsion system in the sole may mean it takes longer to break in, its combination of high-end features make it worth the extra effort.

About the shoe

Originally set to be released in Q4 of 2022, the release of the Dame 9 was delayed by nearly two years after the initial design was scrapped. The good news is, the re-tooled iteration of this much-anticipated shoe has proven itself well worth the wait, and is a strong contender for the best hoop shoe of 2024. It was debuted by Damian Lillard at the 2023-24 All Star Game and released to the public in the eye-catching “Purple Burst” colorway. Along with its sleek silhouette, it offers a snug, true-to-size fit and streamlined, lightweight construction that will likely make it one of the season’s most in-demand sneakers.
