Kaila Charles played college basketball at Maryland and was selected 23rd overall by the Connecticut Sun in the 2020 WNBA Draft. After stints with Atlanta, Seattle and Dallas, she joined the Golden State Valkyries on a hardship contract in August 2025 and re-signed to a multi-year deal in April 2026. On court she has worn Nike models, including the Kobe 5 Protro “Year of the Mamba,” Book 1 “Rattlesnake” and Kobe 6 “Italian Camo.”
