Markelle Fultz, drafted 1st overall in 2017 out of Washington, signed his first shoe deal with Nike on June 16, 2017 after wearing Air Jordan Retro 12 shoes during his final year in college. Nike also signed the previous two number 1 picks, Karl-Anthony Towns and Ben Simmons.
