Taj Gibson switched from Nike to adidas several years back, and then switched right back during the 2018-19 season. After wearing the Kyrie signature shoe for a few seasons seasons, he curiously moved to the Zoom Freak 1, a shoe that is now a few years out of date.
This season, signed as a steadying hand on the rebuilding Pistons, he’s finally opted for a modern silhouette — the Nike Air Zoom GT Cut 2.
Back in 2011, Gibson was known for having to wear a right shoe that was 2.5 sizes too big to accommodate extra bandaging for a toe injury.
