Veronica Burton, a three-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year at Northwestern, was drafted seventh overall by the Dallas Wings in 2022. After stints in Dallas and Connecticut, she joined the Golden State Valkyries through the expansion draft and was named 2025 WNBA Most Improved Player.
