Jason Kidd was drafted second overall by Dallas in 1994 out of California. The point guard played for Dallas (1994–96, 2008–12), Phoenix (1996–2001), New Jersey (2001–08) and New York (2012–13), then coached until leaving the Mavericks in May 2026. He wore the Nike Air Kidd and Air Zoom Flight Five as a Nike endorser before signing with Peak in 2008, which released his Kidd 1 through Kidd 4 signature shoes.
